We tend to connect it with material possessions and unique experiences while the Bible frames blessing as a peaceful and joyous life despite our situation. Haggai's third message to Israel reminds us that God blesses obedience and He uses discipline to call us back from our sin. Dave Schneider begins our July sermon series on the prophet Haggai. Haggai was called by God to communicate to the returned exiles of Judah. They had returned to the land but were in danger of repeating the same sins that got the previous generation kicked out in the first place! And it all comes down to examining their priorities. We also need to consider our ways, we need to let God awaken our hearts to His priorities!
