Living out the Gospel causes a reaction. Matt teaches from John 4 this week as we see Jesus start a conversation with a Samaritan woman. Just like water revives a parched plant, this woman is made new by the gospel.

Cultivate: Light

This week as we continue to ask God to cultivate our hearts toward the Gospel we spent time in John 3, one of the best places to go if you want to meditate on the gospel message. Jesus spent an evening with Nicodemus guiding him to the light of the gospel, Jesus showed him that salvation doesn't occur because of the family you were born into, but that it is found when one is born again into the Kingdom of Heaven by grace through faith!

Cultivate: Perfection

Being good isn't good enough! This week Matt taught through a conversation between a man and Jesus recorded in Matthew 19. The man assumed he could get to heaven by being good enough, but Jesus guided Him to the discovery that everyone has fallen short of perfection and we all need Jesus' perfect sacrifice to pay our sin debt. We pray for Jesus to cultivate our hearts so we can see a world filled with people that need Jesus!

Cultivate: Finality

Dave began our current six-week sermon series, "Cultivate," this past Sunday with a hard look at our view and understanding of our sin and eternal punishment. As we seek to develop a heart for evangelism, we must start with the underlying motivation, and that is the biblical teaching of a very real place called Hell and how the work of Jesus on the cross gives us opportunity for forgiveness and eternal relationship with God! When we see sin as God sees sin we can't help but have a heart for those around us who are still separated from God because of their sin.

Jesus loved to quote the Old Testament writers, and often used what the people knew of the prophets to communicate how God wants to see them move onto His plan of redemption. Dave taught out of Luke chapter 4 in this third part of this series, "Jesus' Reflection. 12/18/16

Jesus' Reflection: Stirred

Dave teaches from Mark 7 this week but Jesus quotes from Isaiah. Jesus quotes the prophet to illustrate the hypocritical nature of the Jewish leaders. We too can often take a helpful thing and elevate it above God's word. 12/11/16

Jesus' words in the New Testament were often quotes from the Old Testament, Dave began this new series with a study of Matthew 21 and Jesus' words on the Parable of the Tenants. Jesus truly is the Cornerstone of our faith! 12/4/16

Matt concludes our series, "Treasuring Christ," with the last few verses in Colossians. Paul ends his letter with personal remarks to his faithful friends, friends that were comforters, co-laborers and co-journers in their discipleship to Jesus. Who were these friends and why does it matter to us?

Dave continues our Colossians series called, "Treasuring Christ," with teaching from Paul on how we can have an effective evangelistic ministry to those who do not know or treasure Christ. Let our prayer life be steadfast and our speech be gracious! 11/20/16
